100% of What You Need to Know For online early childhood education conferences (2021)
We present to you 100% of what you need to know for early childhood education conferences. There is one important tip: we must realize that education is not just about students. It is a partnership relationship between the students and the teacher. The teacher’s profession also involves continuous improvement, gaining new skills, expanding the contact base, and increasing knowledge about the world around us.
Conferences for early childhood education meet 100% of the above requirements. Meetings with experts, exchange of own experiences, as well as broadening your own horizons – these are the advantages of such events.
In 2020, we had to face a new reality as the coronavirus has changed our lives. Due to the limited methods of staying in one place in larger groups, most conferences have moved online. But covid-19 changed something else. The need to use online tools has accelerated the digitization of schools. It turned out that all digital competencies are extremely needed nowadays.
Early childhood education conferences are going online
The pace and scale of recovery from pre-COVID-19 appear slower than was thought at the start of the pandemic. Yes, we had a moment of respite in the summer when it seemed that the economy and the event industry were being thawed, but now other countries (including the United States, Germany, UK, and Poland) are reintroducing restrictions, including the ban on gatherings. This is also important for organizers of industry conferences, including those devoted to early childhood education, as industry conferences are part of the landscape of this community. Fortunately, we did not say goodbye to them completely – the Internet came to the rescue.
List of online conferences, virtual events, and webinars. What will the future hold?
There are three main methods of organizing early childhood education conferences during the covid-19 pandemic:
- online conferences,
- special online events.
2020 is unique for organizers of scientific conferences. Due to the pandemic, a new format of meetings had to be quickly devised. Online conferencing has made it possible to overcome unfavorable circumstances. It turned out that the network infrastructure made it possible to postpone conferences on a scale close to 1: 1. Virtual rooms with lectures, extensive agendas, expert speeches, and online workshops – all this is still possible. Plus, it is completely safe.
What is a virtual event?
We call so online meeting that involves people interacting in a virtual world. They are multi-session online events which offer webinars and webcasts. They are highly interactive, often aiming to create as similar an experience as possible to their physical counterparts.
A webinar is a new form that has become extremely popular nowadays. They are known for their one-to-many communication process. Speakers can reach a large audience from a specific location. Providing it is used effectively, interaction during a webinar can be immensely powerful. For your webinar use smart tools – they are essential to channel interaction. Various interactive opportunities are essential. You can ask a question, chat, create polls and surveys, do a test, call-to-action, and so on. A new feature is conferences that use virtual avatars of participants and, using a graphical interface, allow you to navigate through the virtual conference complex, as well as take part in discussion panels and workshops.
A new feature is conferences that use virtual avatars of participants and, using a graphical interface, allow you to navigate through the virtual conference complex, as well as take part in discussion panels and workshops. One such tool is VirBELA™. Using it can be compared to a computer game with not very sophisticated graphics. We move to selected rooms or use the classic set of buttons (WSAD) and communicate with other participants (by voice or by chat). It is more like a game, than a simple webinar or online lecture.
In the USA and Canada, the VirBELA™ platform is already used by many industries, including leading global consulting companies, banks, universities, and corporations. You can also notice a significant increase in demand for large events looking for a virtual alternative, such as Laval Virtual World 2020, in which over 6,600 people from 110 countries took part virtually.
Agnieszka Ciesielska, the owner of the EVERITUM event agency, told us about the tool: ‘
The epidemic has caused a rash of webinars, e-lectures and online meetings, which, however, are only a video chat. VirBELA goes a step further and introduces the “impossible” to the world of online meetings and shows how we can function virtually soon.
None of the conferences for early childhood education now uses this solution. Someday we will also meet at a conference organized in VirBELA™. In December 2020, we witnessed the 10th International Conference “Early Childhood Care and Education” (ECCE 2020 Digital) in Russia. The all-digital event gathered over 20,000 participants. Attendees – foreign preschool representatives, education experts, researchers, and practitioners -were from all around the world.
International Conference on Teaching, Education, and Technology will be held in Vienna from December 24-25. It will focus on early childhood education and technology. ICTET 2020 will also be held as a virtual meeting. Selected full-text papers will be published online and free of charge.
We have compiled a list of the most interesting educational events starting in Q1 2021 from all around the world. Check them out and sign up to increase your skills and learn about the latest educational trends.

Early childhood education conferences – summary & future
Learning – similarly to the conferences – also takes place remotely. It is important to be able to apply the methods that bring the greatest benefit to students. Early childhood education conferences are always devoted to current topics and needs related to education. They create trends, propose solutions, show tools that support the teaching process, and increase the effectiveness indicators of work with students.
The above-mentioned conferences combine early childhood education and the use of the latest technological achievements. The OMEP International Conference in July 2021 will explore contemporary issues and dilemmas for Pre-school Education in the 21st century. Creativity is also the main theme of the IGE Early Years Conference 2021 which will be held online in May 2021. Using IT and robotics in early childhood education will be a hot topic in the coming years. See below if you want to learn about using the latest IT education tools.
You can use the latest technology to improve the learning of programming for children – by using the Photon Robot and Microsoft Teams. The use of robotics and learning to program remotely will open completely new education opportunities. It is a great way to learn the youngest about the world of the future, basic knowledge of programming languages, smart houses, the Internet of things, teamwork, and the fact that in the modern world there are no barriers and impossible things to do.
We are convinced that we did not say goodbye to the industry conferences taking place in the real world – as few of them already announced that they will be held in a standard form. The current situation is temporary, and it will take some time to recover. However, let us use the opportunity to learn new technologies and tools, as there may be a need to return to virtual meetings in the future.
There are many indications that in 2021, early childhood education conferences will return in their old form. However, this does not mean that we should completely abandon online events. They are a great way to connect with people from all over the world. Let us use it!
