Physics Teaching Kit

The fascinating world of Physics

We know teachers often lack the right tools to engage children properly in their physics classes. Getting the essence of amazing physical phenomena and boring theory at the same time is difficult. With the Photon Physics kit, your students will have an excellent opportunity to rediscover the world of experiments and enjoy hands-on activities. Inspire your students and show them the most exciting side of physics!

What does a typical lesson look like?

The Physics teaching kit facilitates teaching of physics in grades 7-8. It includes a set of original lesson scenarios, practical accessories, and a dedicated app – so that any teacher is able to conduct experiments “with a single click”. The kit with the Photon Robot allows students to explore the world of physics through unconventional and exciting experiments, increasing engagement and enhancing learning.

Practical teaching aids

With the Photon Physics Kit, students have the chance to bring together theory and practice. The Photon Robot allows students to learn about the world and the key principles of physics through interesting experiments in an exciting way. As a result, the children are more engaged and learn more effectively. They learn how to work in a group, where the tasks assigned to individuals impact the entire team’s success later.

Sample activity: Force and its characteristics

At the beginning of the class, the teacher explains the definition of force and the notion of a vector quantity and asks students to complete exercises on the worksheets. The teacher explains the first measurement of force by attaching a spring scale to the robot using the harness provided in the Physics Kit and lifts it from the ground. Then, the teacher asks students to read the result on the spring scale and note it, making sure they pay close attention to measurement accuracy. The students draw a diagram of the experiment in their worksheets and indicate the force vectors acting on the robot. Next, students measure the pulling force of the Photon robot using a spring scale. The students write down the measurements and analyze them.

Sample lesson: Uniform linear motion

The teacher explains the concepts of uniform motion and speed, as well as the s = d / t formula. Next, students begin calculating the speed. The teacher picks volunteers to use the app and enter the time and distance that the robot will travel. The teacher instructs volunteers to get ready to measure the robot’s travel distance and time. The teacher launches the robot using the app and asks students to measure ‘d’ and ‘t’ and record the data in a worksheet. Then, students draw a travel and time graph. The teacher tells the students that the Photon’s base speed is 8 cm/s and asks them how far would the robot travel in 10 seconds, 2 minutes, and an hour.
